Army vs Navy Betting - Can Army End Skid Against Rival Navy?

The sportsbook odds for Saturday's annual meeting between Army and Navy  are banking on another win for Navy, who have won seven straight in this interservice rivalry. Army has improved this year, but a win over Navy would a massive upset, while keeping their faint bowl hopes alive.

Army vs Navy Betting- Saturday, December 12, 2:30 PM ET

Army (5-6) gave up 447 yards to North Texas, but forced five turnovers in a 17-13 win on the road. Trent Steelman was 7-of-15 for 87 yards, but he did most of his damage on the ground as the freshman pivot ran for 132 yards and the game-winning touchdown with 1:43 left on the clock. The key to these Army vs Navy betting odds for the Black Knights will be defense as they're 66th in the nation against the run.

This is why the Midshipmen (8-4) are a sports betting favorite in your sportsbook, as they're third in the country on the ground. The Midshipmen ran for 248 yards in a 24-17 loss in Hawaii, and like Army, they were powered by their quarterback. Ricky Dobbs ran for 127 yards and a touchdown, to go with 88 yards on 5-of-9 passing, but the Midshipmen gave up 366 yards and three touchdowns through the air.

Army vs Navy betting has the Midshipmen as a 14-point favorite in this game, which isn't surprising when you consider their seven-game winning streak over Navy, and their last two wins have come by a combined score of 72-3. If you're a fan of passing and aerial attacks, this is not the game for you as both teams stick with the triple option offense. Therefore, this should come down to run defense, and the Midshipmen are 41st in the country, 25 spots better than Army. The Black Knights may be a little more fired up because they have a chance to become bowl-eligible with a win, but they don't have the personnel to keep up with Navy, who are 8-2 ATS against the Black Knights in their last 10 meetings.
