Lefthander Cecil beat the Orioles in his last trip to the mound, surrendering two runs in his eight innings pitched.
Over in the National League on Friday it'll be San Francisco at Pittsburgh, Cincinnati at Washington, Florida at the Mets, the Cubs at Houston, Milwaukee at St. Louis, Colorado at Arizona, Atlanta at the Dodgers, and San Diego at Philadelphia. The Padres are expected to go with Mat Latos (5-3, 3.08 ERA) on Friday, with the Phillies sending ace Roy Halladay (7-3, 1.99 ERA) to the hill. Righthander Latos beat the Nationals last time out, allowing two earned runs on four hits over six innings and striking out eight. Righthander Halladay tossed a perfect game against the Marlins in his last trip to the mound, fanning 11 Florida hitters as he dropped his ERA under 2.00.
