Reasoning: Normally I would side with the solid enough small chalk home team in a game like this but to be honest I'm not all that sure how solid Tennessee really is these days. Bruce Pearl obviously won't be coaching due to the suspension and the Volunteers have been struggling mightily over the past few weeks after the great overachieving start to the season.
UT does have talent with Scotty Hopson, Brian Williams, Tobias Harris and a few others and the crowd in Knoxville certainly will be rowdy as heck but right now the Vols just do not have much else going for them after losing two of the last three games and five of the last eight. The wins were far from impressive as well in nipping Belmont by one point and Tennessee Martin by only six.
On the exact opposite extreme we have a Florida team that has really started to get things going after a poor start to the season. Billy Donovan's boys are 12-3 and have started to show their experience with all of the guys that returned. They may not be close to the two time national championship squad with Noah, Horford, Brewer, Humphrey and others but these Gators are getting better and will not crap on themselves on the road in this spot. Walker, Boynton, Parsons, Macklin, Tyus and the rest of these Gators are a top 15-20 squad that may not be super talented but is also a steady group that should be able to beat a Tennessee team that can't get out of its way right now.
The home court is huge, I admit that, but in the end today the cream should rise to the top and that will be the Gators.
