Fantasy Baseball and Sports Betting News and Notes For Wednesday

Here is Wednesday's pitcher's report card info for rotisserie baseball (AKA fantasy baseball) and sports betting alike.

CHICAGO WHITE SOX @ MINNESOTA TWINS

Wednesday, May 12, 1:10 p.m. ET

John Danks (3-1, 1.98 ERA)

It will be interesting to see how lefty John Danks fairs in his first trip to Target Field on Wednesday. The new ballpark is thought to suppress offense compared to the Metrodome or "Homerdome" but it's tough to ignore Danks' historical struggles against the Twinkies. He's 4-5 with a 5.13 ERA and 11 homers allowed in just 80.2 innings against Minnesota. To tell MLB betting fans that Michael Cuddyer owns Danks is a massive understatement. Cuddyer hits a ridiculous .515 off Danks with five homers and 11 RBI over 33 career at-bats.

Carl Pavano (3-3, 3.43 ERA)

Big Carl Pavano continues to flash impeccable control with Minnesota, issuing just six free passes over 39.1 innings this season. He loves facing the White Sox, going 3-2 with a 2.86 ERA over five starts and tossing two complete-game shutouts against them. The Twinkies' MLB odds seem to be in good hands but it's worth noting that Pavano hasn't been great at Target Field so far this season, going just 1-2 with a 5.19 ERA.

ATLANTA BRAVES @ MILWAUKEE BREWERS

Wednesday, May 12, 1:10 p.m. ET

Derek Lowe (4-3, 6.16 ERA)

What happened to the stingy sinkerballer that used to be Derek Lowe? Like the Braves' season, he's been a huge disappointment so far. Sure, he has an excellent track record against Milwaukee, going 3-1 with a 3.38 ERA over eight career starts. But that was the old Lowe. Can we trust the 2010 Lowe in sports betting, especially when he has a 7.02 ERA on the road this season?

Yovani Gallardo (4-2, 3.07 ERA)

Too bad we couldn't make a prop bet at the sportsbook on whether or not Yovani Gallardo homers off Lowe. The Brewers' ace has five homers and 18 RBI in 64 career plate appearances. On the mound, he's been dominant of late, allowing two or fewer runs in five straight starts. Gallardo also owns the Braves in his career, sporting a 0.81 ERA over 22.1 innings against them.

Top expert picks on today's card certainly comes from Stevie Vincent. The Great One again nails the only pro baseball play on Tampa. One loser all year and that was in extra innings.
