Dodgers-Padres Preview

If familiarity breeds contempt, there should be animosity aplenty on Friday when the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres meet at PETCO Park.
The Dodgers will trot Hiroki Kuroda out to the mound in this one, while it'll be Justin Germano toeing the rubber for the Padres.
NewBodog oddsmakers currently have the Padres listed as 125-moneyline favorites versus the Dodgers, while the game's total has not yet been posted.
The Dodgers were edged 2-1 by the Giants last time out, as -160 favorites. The three runs went UNDER the posted over/under (7).
James Loney drove in the lone Dodgers run, and Esteban Loaiza surrendered the winning run in relief to get tagged with the loss.
The Padres won the rubber match of their four-game series with a 3-2 win over the Astros on Thursday, as -140 favorites at home. The five runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (8.5).
Kevin Kouzmanoff belted a two-run homer and finished 2-for-4 at the plate for the Padres. Enrique Gonzalez tossed one inning of relief to get the win, and Trevor Hoffman threw a scoreless ninth for his second save.
