Dan Haren will try to boost his season record to the .500 mark on Monday night when his Diamondbacks start a series on the road against the Marlins. Righthander Haren is just 3-4 on the season despite a solid 2.09 ERA; he took the loss in his last outing, allowing three earned runs in seven innings against the Reds. The Marlins will counter with Ricky Nolasco on Monday night; the righthander is 2-4 and sports an ugly 7.78 ERA through eight outings this season.

Sidney Crosby and the Penguins will open the Eastern Conference final at home on Monday night when they play host to Cam Ward's Hurricanes. Crosby and company took care of the Capitals in Game 7 of their second-round series last Wednesday, cruising to a 6-2 victory.
