Free NFL Pick: Bengals-Jets on NFL Network

The free pick NFL winner for Thursday is on the Cincinnati Bengals +9 to the NY Jets. This pick is from Matt Rivers of OffshoreInsiders.com

There is no debating that being 2-8 is pathetic and especially when you are a team that is talented like Cincinnati is. Having Carson Palmer, Cedric Benson, TO and Chad Ochocinco along with what should be a hard hitting and high quality defense normally would make a team at the very least average. Yet for whatever reason Marvin Lewis' squad has been an absolute disaster losing game after game after game unlike the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets, who continue to win almost every single game they play.

With the above said how in the world can I back the losers? I'll tell you how. I still so do not trust Marc Sanchez, even if he just led a John Elway like game winning drive last week against the Texans, and with the way Rex Ryan's team has been pulling games out of their collective you know what's of late laying a big number just does not seem all that conducive to success against anybody right now for the New Yorkers. Backing Cincinnati can't be anything but a tad sketchy so I can't make this a real pay play but the Bengals have the potential to rise up in this situation and I expect them to do just that.

New York has a great defense led by a superstar in Darrelle Revis and a rushing attack that bludgeoned Cinci a few times late last season including on the road in the playoffs. The Bengals have regressed into the Bungals for sure but in this Thanksgiving Day national tv spotlight they won't just pack it in, no how no way. TO and the fellas manned up against the Steelers when the country tuned in and today may lose again but will at least give some effort unlike that last second half against the Bills.

Palmer's best days are behind him as is the case with both Owens and Ochocinco but these guys relish the attention and know they are going to get that tonight in the Big Apple in front of millions and millions.

Look for Lewis' defense which is chock full of first-rounders to play one of their better games helping Sanchez regress a bit and for the offense to do enough to keep this thing within the number.

The real Matt Rivers pick: Cincinnati Bengals +9

For more information: Matt Rivers is feeling phenomenal and ready for a fourth straight winning day today improving upon my 5-1 run. I gave out one monster 400,000* play yesterday on the Jazz and they rolled by a billion. Another 400,000* is here capping this Thanksgiving Day delight.

If you know me at all then you know that I am not at all a teaser, parlay or totals guy. For the most part those plays are crapshoots and sucker plays that are just not smart plays. But every now and then, a few times a year, I see a situation that makes me pounce on what is a great value and not a "crapshoot or sucker play" and one of those ultra-rare days is here. A 400,000* Monster tease involving a pair of sports with New England-Detroit and Temple-California plus a bonus 200,000* on the Patriots and Lions. My first and only teaser of the season banked with ease about a month ago and number two will see history repeat itself! Click now to purchase
