It is conference championship Sunday. Starting
it out is the Green Bay Packers vs. Seattle Seahawks. The latest sportsbook odds have

Green Bay is 13-4 straight up, 9-7 against the
spread going over 11-6. However on the road, they are 4-4 straight up, 3-5
against the spread splitting totals at 4-4.
Seattle is 13-4 outright, 11-6 in
the back pocket, going over 9-8. At home the Hawks are 8-1 straight up, 7-2 to
the number, going over 5-4.
Betting
trends say that 51 percent are betting on the cheese
heads to cover and a stunning 73 percent taking the road underdogs to win
outright. A slight majority of 58 percent have put the ante on the over.
The Pack get 4.4 yards per rushing attempt to
teams normally allowing 4.0, a stunning 8.0 yards per pass to 6.9, and 6.4
yards per play to 5.7. On defense they permit 4.3 yards per rushing attempt to
squads normally compiling 4.2, 6.5 yards per pass to 6.6 and 5.5 yards per play
to 5.6.
The Seahawks raw numbers are better, more so on
defense. On offense they rush for 5.2 yards per carry to teams normally
allowing 4.2 and 7.3 passing yards per attempt to 6.8. Insofar as yards per
play it is 6.2 to 5.7.
Now to where the big edge is on defense. Seattle allows
3.5 yards per rushing attempt to teams earning an average of 4.1, 5.9 yards per
pass to 6.8 and 4.9 to 5.6.
