The Pads are 11-3.  Pittsburgh has lost 6-of-9. We know David Wells has very unfavorable splits.  He’s great at home, but has struggled on the road.  While San Diego is a pitcher’s park, an advantage he won’t have today, he has a lot of road games under his wide belt, so we expect him to return to his mean.

Thanks to a mediocre offense, Pittsburgh is 1-3 at home with Gorzelanny. San Diego is 9-4 in the series last three years.
