Rays-Athletics Pointers

The Tampa Bay Rays will be trying to extend a winning streak on Wednesday when they take on the Oakland Athletics at McAfee Coliseum.
The Rays will give the ball to starter Andy Sonnanstine in this one. Righthander Sonnanstine is 6-1 this season with a 4.53 ERA.
Meanwhile, it'll be Dana Eveland who starts for the Athletics. Righthander Eveland is 3-3 with a 3.23 ERA so far this season.
NewBodog oddsmakers currently have the Athletics listed as 110-moneyline favorites versus the Rays, while the game's total has not yet been posted.
Scott Kazmir gave up only one run over seven innings of work to earn the win, as the Rays defeated the Athletics 3-2 on Tuesday night.
Tampa Bay cashed as -125 road favorites as the game played under the 7.5-run total set by sportsbooks.
B.J. Upton went 2-for-4 at the dish for the Rays, while Troy Percival got the save despite allowing a home run to Frank Thomas in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Greg Smith was the hard luck loser for Oakland, as the starter gave up no earned runs over seven innings to take the defeat for the A's.
