NFL Locks

NFL injuries for the sports bettor and fantasy football player are coming.

There is a full slate of National Football League games on Sunday plus the Sprint Cup Series' season-ending race at Homestead-Miami. The best NFL handicappers are unleashing several lock NFL bets today. Here's your Daily Sports Roundup.

The Gridiron Spotlight

Bored to tears from watching this Hayley Kissel brother's movie? There are plenty of great bets today to watch and win back your manhood.

Tony Romo is slated to return to action on Sunday night as the Dallas Cowboys play on the road against the division-rival Washington Redskins. The 'Boys haven't exactly fared well since Romo went on the shelf, but they're still at 5-4 on the season. Of course, they haven't been a lucrative betting option at just 3-6 ATS through nine games. The 'Skins are just one game up on Dallas at 6-3 on the season, with a 5-4 ATS record.

Dallas is pegged as a 1.5-point road favorite for Sunday, thanks mostly to Clinton Portis' injured knee. The other two NFC East contenders are also in action on Sunday, with Philadelphia at Cincinnati, and the first-place Giants hosting Baltimore. The Eagles are big 9-point favorites versus the lowly Bengals, and New York is a 7-point home favorite.

Also on tap around the NFL on Sunday: Denver at Atlanta (-6.5), Chicago at Green Bay (-3.5), Houston at Indianapolis (-8), New Orleans (-5.5) at Kansas City, Oakland at Miami (-10), Minnesota at Tampa Bay (-4), Detroit at Carolina (-14), St. Louis at San Francisco (-6.5), San Diego at Pittsburgh (-5.5), and Arizona (-3) at Seattle. As well, the 9-0 Titans (-3) will be looking for their 10th win when they play down in Jacksonville.

Other Notable Events

The NASCAR season comes to a close on Sunday, as the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series hit Homestead-Miami Speedway for the Ford 400. Standings leader Jimmie Johnson only needs to avoid a disaster on Sunday to claim his third straight Cup championship; he enters this race with a 141-point lead on Carl Edwards for first place.

Edwards, though, is the 7/2 Vegas favorite to win the Ford 400, with Johnson, Kyle Busch, and Greg Biffle all at 7/1 odds. Matt Kenseth sits just behind that top group at 8/1 odds, with Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin both at 12/1 odds to pick up the victory.

The Rest of the Schedule

Beat the sportsbooks with the NBA card. The struggling Dallas Mavericks return to the court Sunday, as they'll play in New York against the Knicks in a 6:00pm ET contest. There are two other matinees on the NBA's Sunday slate, with Miami at Toronto at 1:00pm, and Orlando at Chicago at 5:30pm. As well, it's Minnesota at Denver, Detroit at Phoenix, and then San Antonio at Sacramento.

There are just five games on the NHL's schedule for Sunday, including Los Angeles at Anaheim in the battle of Southern California. The other four contests: Tampa Bay at Carolina, Montreal at St. Louis, San Jose at Chicago, and also Atlanta at Philadelphia.

As well, there are a few ranked college hoops teams in action on Sunday, with No. 19 Florida taking on Bradley, No. 25 Wisconsin going up against Long Beach State, No. 8 Duke playing Rhode Island, No. 6 Michigan State meeting Idaho, No. 9 Notre Dame tipping off against South Carolina Upstate, and No. 24 Kansas playing Mo. Kansas City.

A Peek at the Future

Monday Night Football is a matchup between the Browns and Bills in Buffalo this week, with the home team pegged as 5-point favorites (and the total at 42 points) . . . a light Monday night around the NBA sees only three contests on the hardwood - Houston at Oklahoma City, Phoenix at Utah, and San Antonio at the Clippers . . . undefeated (10-0) Ball State will be gunning for another win Wednesday when they play Central Michigan.
