Braden Looper has shown an uncanny ability to rebound from bad outings this year. In fact, the Cards are 6-1 this year in Looper’s starts after he gave up five more earned runs in his previous start.  That applies tonight.

Looper has been much better at home.  St. Louis has won six of his last eight home starts. David Wells has a team record of 0-3 his last three starts with an abysmal 13.51 ERA and 2.370 WHIP.

In nine road starts this year his ERA is 7.27 with a 1.962 WHIP.  Looper has a lifetime ERA of 1.97 to the Pads.  St. Louis is 16-6 at home in the series.
