Oklahoma -7 Versus Texas Tech

It's one of the biggest games of the year with Texas Tech taking on Oklahoma. The Sooners are a solid seven-point favorite at the sportsbooks. GodsTips, anchor of OffshoreInsiders.com says lay the points and go with Oklahoma.

First off all, a strong system play favors the Sooners. Go against a road team off a home win to the conference that is playing a team off a double digit conference win is 313-210. This system applies several times today and those picks are just part of a humungous card at GodsTips.

We also subscribe to several scouting websites that check out the game films and all of our trusted sources tell us that the Sooners will wear down Texas Tech at the line of scrimmage.

The Sooners can more than keep up with the Red Raiders explosiveness too. Oklahoma gets 51.4 points per game their normally allowing just 30.2. They get 4.6 yards per rush against teams normally allowing 4.2 and a splendid 9.9 yards per pass to 7.2 as well as 7.0 yards per play to 5.6.

Oklahoma has more talent on defense and will be the best run stoppers the Red Raiders have seen all year. OU has great run-stuffers up the middle in DTs Gerald McCoy, DeMarcus Granger and Adrian Taylor.

The Sooners are 59-2 straight up at home since coach Bob Stoops took over in 1999. Also long-time clients know one of our Golden Rules: use the oddsmakers' knowledge against them.

A proven angle is going against underdogs that have the longest winning streak in the country. There is a reason why they are underdogs. Tech has the nation's longest winning streak at 12 but is just 2-16 on the road against ranked opponents in coach Mike Leach's tenure.

Remember, their two signature wins this year to Texas and Oklahoma State were both at home. They have clearly fed off the energy of the home crowd, an advantage they don't have today.

OU has the nation's longest home winning streak at 23 and has won 43 of the last 44 in Norman. As another of our scouting services point out, Tech's Graham Harrell has had a great year in part because he has not faced much pressure, but his weakness is throwing on the move. With Oklahoma's talented interior, he will be throwing on the move often today.
