Official Betting Preview of Steelers-Cardinals Super Bowl Odds

We’ll bet you’ve heard, the Pittsburgh Steelers are taking on the Arizona Cardinals in the Super Bowl. Unlike the other four million previews from both the dinosaur and pajamas media, we are going to break it down from the standpoint of the bettor…and for the better.

The sportsbooks do not agree on the Vegas spread. Bodog Life has Pittsburgh -7 +105 while BetUs Sportsbook has Pittsburgh -6.5 -115. Bookmaker has the total at 46.5.

The Steelers are 14-4 straight up and they have covered 7-of-8. Arizona is 12-7 straight up and against the spread, winning and covering four straight. They have gone over 12-of-16.

Pittsburgh’s most impressive numbers are on defense. They allow just 3.2 yards per rush to teams normally getting 4.1 and 4.9 yards per rush to 6.3. They hold squads to a full 1.1 yards per play below their normal average.

Arizona gets 3.4 yards per rush to teams normally getting 4.1, but 7.5 yards per pass to 6.5 and 6.0 yards per play to 5.4.

Both Pittsburgh’s offensive and Arizona’s defensive averages are right in line with their opponent’s normal average.

The best football betting service ever GodsTips has a historic bet on the game. Super Bowl side and total and several props are now up. Some spread betting trends says that Arizona is 1-9 against the spread off four or more consecutive spread wins. Pittsburgh has covered seven straight postseason games.
