White Sox-Tigers ESPN Betting Line Preview

Stop looking ahead to the NFL preseason point spreads as there is still plenty of money to be won betting MLB baseball.

Tonight, on ESPN it's the Chicago White Sox against the Detroit Tigers. Clayton Richard is on the hill for the Pale Hose and Rick Porcello for the Tigers.

The MLB baseball Vegas odds has Detroit -138 with a total of 9.5. Porcello has a 9.45 ERA and 2.251 WHIP in his last three starts.

Clayton Richard has a 7.61 ERA in his last six starts. Chicago has lost Richard's last three. Detroit meanwhile has won 10-of-14 with Porcello.

Detroit is 4-1 at home in the series this year. The White Sox are 17-37 on the road against teams with a winning record. They've lost seven straight road games to right-handed starters. They are 12-39 on the road versus a team with a winning percentage of .600 or greater.

Detroit is 14-3 at home to left-handed starters in their last 17 and they've won 15-of-21 home games overall.

Chicago is hitting just .247 in their last seven games, but Detroit is even worse with a .241 batting average in the same span.

The Tigers are hitting just .245 at night.
