Thursday Godspicks

Thursday, August 31, 2006

Our time of the year is here.  Godspicks.com has our first college football Wise Guy of the year already.  We tell you why. In fact, it is an underdog that wins outright so we also have a moneyline release on it. We have three college sides, a moneyline and two NFL sides already up!

The ENTIRE card  is just $17 at www.godspicks.com, part of the OffshoreInsiders.com network. As it always the case, balls to the wall analysis better than anywhere, but this year more steam, plus moneyline and first half plays at Godspicks.com

South Carolina-Mississippi State OVER 40

Say what you want about South Carolina’s head coach Steve Spurrier, but the man knows how to use this strength’s on offense.  Mississippi State is much better on the defensive line than USC is on the offensive line.  But Spurrier has two weapons.

Blake Mitchell is back at quarterback after passing for 2,370 yards and 18 touchdowns last year. The difference-maker is Sidney Rice, a sophomore wide receiver who had 70 catches for 1,143 yards and 13 scores a year ago.

The Cocks won’t be able to nickel and dime, but they will be able to do a quick strike.  We look for big plays each way, be it a pick six or quick six.

MSU though should do well against a young and not overly impressive South Carolina offense. Seven starters are gone and an eighth has been moved to offense.
