Super Bowl Proposition Plays

Universally respected sportsbook NewBodog has posted the first wave of Super Bowl proposition plays for Super Bowl XLII between the NY Giants and New England Patriots.

Yes the inane bets like who wins the coin toss are among them. However, sports gamblers can also wager on the team to score first. The Giants are +135, the Patriots are -165.

Will the team that scores first win the game? Sports betting expert Joe Duffy says that the big underdog of "no" is worth a long look. "Teams have gotten the upper hand on New England, but the Patriots often pull it out late in the fourth quarter".

A field goal or safety being the initial score is +155. How about the last score of the game? A touchdown is -175 and a field goal or safety is +145.

One can almost have a bet riding on every play. Which quarter will be the highest scoring? Which team punts first, gets the initial first down, penalty, longest touchdown, or first coaches challenge?

Though Duffy is known for successfully exploiting underdogs with money lines, he admits that the Patriots getting the longest touchdown at -190 seems low. Duffy is lead handicapper for GodsTips, anchor of OffshoreInsiders.com.

We know one can bet on the over/under of points, but sports bettors can also predict the total number of kickoff returns. The number is a stunning 10.5. Tom Brady has thrown more interceptions than the suddenly turnover free Eli Manning, yet the Giants are an overwhelming favorite to commit more turnovers at -300.

Check out more of the proposition plays.
