Tuesday News and Notes

Philadelphia-Washington

The Phillies are 2-12 this year as a favorite when Brett Myers starts.

Tampa-Toronto

Tampa is 8-3 in the series.

White Sox-Minnesota

Minnesota Twins are 8-1 their last nine at home.

Seattle-Texas

The Rangers have been quite slump proof this season as they are an incredible 28-8 if they lost two of their previous three games. Texas is 17-8 at home in the head-to-head competition. Seattle is 7-14 with Carlos Silva but Texas is 1-6 Carlos Silva.

Colorado-Pittsburgh

The Rockies are 1-16 on the road in 2008 to National League squads that average 4.8 or more runs per game.

Kansas City-Oakland

Oakland is 2-10 their last 12 at home.

Mets-Florida

Florida is 15-5 versus to bullpens that threw for me than 13 innings combined in their previous three games. However, the Mets have won 15-of-20 overall.

Baltimore-Yankees

The Orioles are 4-18 this season after scoring eight or more runs. The Yankees have won 10-of-11 at home.

LA Anaheim-Boston

The Angels have won five straight in the series. They are 10-3 with John Lackey. Boston is 3-8 with Clay Buchholz.

Cubs-Milwaukee

Milwaukee is 8-0 to a right-handed starter.
