Wimbledon Men's Morning Line Preview

From World Cup scores, MLB baseball handicappers, to Wimbledon morning lines, bettors are showing the versatility of Vanessa Carlton these days.

In men's tennis betting, everything feels right in the world again. Rafael Nadal is back healthy and fresh off a win at his old stomping grounds, Roland Garros. Now, is it Roger Federer's time to return to dominance at Wimbledon, a tournament he's won six times?

Here's a look at some of the sports betting favorites at the All England Club this week.

Roger Federer

Sportsbook odds: 11 to 8

Give the Swiss Mister seven straight Wimbledon final appearances and six titles in seven years. Pretty good. But the road is getting tougher for Roger Federer. He lost a an epic five-set final at Wimbledon in 2008 and needed 30 final-set games to take down Andy Roddick in yet another wild final last year. Federer was upset by Robin Soderling at the French Open earlier this month and had to come from behind to beat Alejandro Falla in five sets today. He also recently lost to Lleyton Hewitt in Germany, falling on grass for just the second time since 2003. What if he's finally starting to tire?

Rafael Nadal

Sportsbook odds: 13 to 5

Naturally, Rafa is right behind Federer among the top betting favorites at Wimbledon. He certainly looked like his old self at Roland Garros and the new world No. 1 beat Federer the last time they met at Wimbledon. Is the right betting advice to go with the hotter hand and pick Nadal this time around?

Andy Murray

Sportsbook odds: 9 to 1

Is the hometown hero Murray really the No. 3 favorite or do the odds simply reflect a bias toward the Brit? He's certainly not peaking as we enter Wimbledon. He lost in the third round at Queen's and has been dogged by a knee injury, so he could be a trap pick this year.

Andy Roddick

Sportsbook odds: 12 to 1

Somewhat of a sentimental favorite after his heartbreaking loss to Federer last year, Roddick opened his 2010 Wimbledon bid looking like a man on a mission, pummelling Rajeev Ram in straight sets today. The top-ranked American player in the world still hasn't won a grand slam since 2003 but has reached four finals since then. Could he finally return to the winner's circle this time?

Robin Soderling

Sportsbook odds: 20 to 1

The man who slew Federer at Roland Garros leapfrogs usual top contenders list mainstay Novak Djokovic. His serves are bombs and, while he's never even reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon, all his losses in the last three years there came against Federer or Nadal.

Today's free pick: Rafael Nadal. It feels strange to go against Federer in the tournament he owns like nobody else but everything seems to be hard work for him of late. Nadal is back in top form and could have the psychological edge should he meet Federer in the final.
