Redskins-Eagles Sports Betting Preview

The Washington Redskins travel up I-95 to take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football. The latest NFL betting odds on this game sees Philadelphia as a seven-point favorite with a posted total of 38.5 or 39 in some sportsbooks.

The top sports service plays on this game are from GodTips on the side, fresh off a 6-1 NFL performance yesterday. For the total, Stevie Vincent has the biggest play in gambling with a Level 5 on the over/under. Both plays are at OffshoreInsiders.com

Tonight is a rare case where Washington running back Clinton Portis is not on the injury report. He enters as healthy as he's been. However, starting tight end Phillip Daniels is doubtful, giving the nod to Demetric Evans.

However, the Eagles are without key cover man Lito Sheppard. Will James takes his place.

Philadelphia must get a much better performance out of Donovan McNabb.  In his first game since returning from an injury, he was just 15-of-33 for 184 yards as Philly lost to Green Bay 16-13 as road favorites. Philadelphia is 9-2 the last 11 meeting straight up.

For those who bet first half sides or totals or halftime lines, note that Donovan McNabb plays much better in the second half.  Over his last eight games, he's completed just 49.6 percent of his passes in the first half, averaging 6.90 yards per pass attempt with two touchdowns. In the second half, it's a 58.4 percent completion rate with nine touchdowns and averaging 8.97 yards per pass attempt.
