The Mountain West Game of the Year goes among both CFB games. We added NBA and NHL Majors for tonight. We will have your C-USA West and Big East Game of the Year plays this Saturday, so get at least the four or five-day passes. We are 6-2 with NHL Wise Guy plays. DALLAS -7.5 Golden State
Oh a little revenge is certainly on the mind of Dallas, victims to Golden State as one of the biggest upsets in NBA playoff history. Remember, Golden State simply got sizzling hot at the right time, ala the Colorado Rockies. They exploded at the end of the year to get into the playoffs, then ran into a Dallas team clearly unprepared for the hottest shooting team in recent memory.
Golden State was led by Baron Davis who was in the zone. As so often happens, Cinderella teams struggle early the next year. Davis is struggling. He's averaging a shade under 22 points per game, but he's shooting just 37 percent, including a repulsive 12 percent from 3-point land.
We just played over our heads," Golden State coach Don Nelson said of that playoff series. "It's really that simple. It's one of those things that will happen for a short period of time.
"You can't go back. You can't capture what was going on at that time. We had a lucky moment in sports, and it was wonderful to go through.
"But that's over. That's behind us. This is totally different." Dallas has all the motivation in the world to kick Golden State while they are down.
