BELMONT +8 Cincinnati

Belmont can shoot the basketball and that overcomes a lot of athleticism on the other side. The two-time defending Atlantic Sun Conference tournament champions can devastate you with their shooting. Last year, for instance, Belmont made 46.2 percent of its attempts.

In the preseason, Cincinnati showed they are vulnerable to good shooting teams when they played Northern Kentucky. Last week, in the Bearcats' first exhibition game, they allowed the Norse to hit 51.1 percent of their shots - and a disturbing 59.3 percent from the 3-point line - en route to a near upset.

The Bearcats are also without a very key player. Senior guard Jamual Warren was involved in a car accident Sunday morning - where he was issued three citations, including one for leaving the scene of an accident - and he injured his left hand. UC coach Mick Cronin said Tuesday he would miss the next three weeks while recovering.
