Yanks-BoSox Betting Preview

If familiarity breeds contempt, there should be animosity aplenty on Saturday when the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees meet at Yankee Stadium.

The Red Sox will pin their hopes on the pitching of righthander Justin Masterson in this game. Masterson has a 4-2 record and a 3.75 ERA this season.

The Yankees will counter Masterson with Mike Mussina. Righthander Mussina has a 3.87 ERA to go along with a 10-6 record this season.

The baseball betting odds currently have the Yankees listed as 140-moneyline favorites versus the Red Sox, while the game's total has not yet been posted.

The Red Sox won a rain-delayed game over the Yankees by a score of 6-4 as -125 favorites on Friday. The combined 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9.5).
