Jets-Chargers Betting Preview

The San Diego Chargers host the New York Jets on Monday Night Football and we have the official sports gambler's preview. Each team is 1-1 against the spread, the Chargers 0-2 straight up, the Jets 1-1.

The Jets have been excellent against the run, albeit early. They are allowing just 3.1 yards per carry and 76 rushing yards per game. The Bolts have been high powered getting 9.8 yards per pass and 7.4 yards per play.

The Chargers have to mentally recover from two last second losses including the infamous inadvertent whistle on a turnover by Denver's Jay Cutler that cost the Bolts victory.

All eyes are on the status of Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, who is questionable with a toe injury. According to Cy McCormick of MasterLockLine.com, L.T. is very likely to play.

The Chargers have an explosive backup in Darren Sproles, but he is more of a feast or famine type than the ball control of Tomlinson.

San Diego is minus their leading tackler, LB Stephen Cooper who will be serving the third game of a four-game suspension. They are also minus All-Pro MLB Shawne Merriman, who is out for the year.

San Diego is 11-24 off a divisional road loss. They are 13-3 to the conference. The Chargers have gone under 10-2 at home after getting 450 or more total yards previous game.
