Joe Phillips, Tom Hatfield of FreePlays and Vegasscoresandodds Radio

Joe Phillips and Tom Hatfield have set the bar for the world sports handicappers infomercial. They are part of the Jeff Allen owned Wisconsin based Freeplays family of funds, which includes Vegasccoresandodds.com.

The big problem is the Joe Philips (or however he spells his name, with his grammar he may not know) fellow especially butchered the English language every time he opened his mouth and the fact he was reading off a piece of paper could not have been more obvious.

According to Cy McCormick, of the online betting syndicate MasterLockLine.com, the only handicapper on that show who has ever finished in the Top 25, was Razor Sharp Sports in 2002 in college basketball betting.

Joe Phillips sounds like the doppelganger for Joe Whiz, a radio tout of years ago. Their boiler room telematching is almost as funny as Kent Enola.

We give credit where credit is due. Phil Steele of Northcoast Sports gives great information on ESPN. Randall the Handle leads a good football handicapping show in Canada. Jim Feist's Proline radio and television shows gives good nuggets between the sales pitches, but the Freeplays radio show, Bobby Ventura and others are best for entertainment value.

In fact in football Phil Steele's all-time record is passed only by Joe Duffy and Mike Godsey of GodsTips, anchor of OffshoreInsiders.com, Bill Tanner, Castlegate Sports, Stevie Vincent, Mon Valley Sports, and Jonathan Mardukas.
