NFL Picks and Predictions: Redskins vs. Patriots

The New England Patriots play at the Washington Redskins. Most sportsbooks have New England laying 3.5 though SportsBook has they at -3 and -130. The total is 37-37.5.

No team has been tested more than the Redskins who play New England after taking on Baltimore and Pittsburgh. New England is very deep on the defensive line. Redskins QB Jason Campbell completed just 1-of-7 passes last game against the Steelers. The first team offense has not scored a touchdown in the preseason.

The first team offense will play at least the first half for the Skins. CB Carlos Rogers is out for the team with the politically incorrect nickname.

New England starters are expected to play some in the third quarter. Tom Brady is 14-of-23 for 157 yards, two touchdowns and an interception since returning from torn anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments.

New England head coach Bill Belichick used this week to simulate a regular season game as far as preparing for a foe. They reviewed scouting reports, watched game film, etc.

Top expert pick on this game: A true superstar is sports handicapping, Stevie Vincent has both the side and total on this contest. Those who jumped on Stevie's full season pass are already seeing dividends. Each year he gets better and better and is already 8-4 including three straight wins. Jacksonville and the Tampa game under last night, plus his Monday Night NFLX GAME of the YEAR on the Jets the latest.
