Sports Pick: Baylor to Cover Versus Texas Tech

Hotmail is down and not working but professional gamblers winnings are up.  The top sports handicapper may not know curling rules or how curling scoring works but sure does basketball.  It's always Fat Tuesday when it comes to winning from handicappers such as Matt Rivers who is as innovative as Jane McGonigal is to gaming.

The top sports bettor of all-time Grandmaster Sports Handicapper Joe Duffy of GodsTips has a free sports pick.  It's an actual premium selection on Baylor -11 Texas Tech.

Baylor is a darn good team. They've been competitive in every loss, with the largest margin being seven. Quietly, the Big 12 may be the best conference top to bottom, so that's no small accomplishment.

They lost at Kansas by just six and won at Texas. Conversely Tech has struggled on the road. Yes, they do have a one-point win at Oklahoma, but other than that they've lost their road conference games by 15, 12, 26, and 29 not to mention getting slapped in the last non-conference road game by 15.

Tech does not have anyone who can slow down Ekpe Udoh. He is big and athletic. The Bears have three starters 6-10 or bigger. The Red Raiders have none and just one guy taller than 6-6.  To top it off, Baylor's guards average 16.1 and 18.7 points per game.

Baylor wins on all the mismatches and frankly Pat Knight is not a good enough coach to adjust.

Finally, we always tell you that one of the toughest scheduling situations in college basketball is losing a heart-breaking then having a tough road game in a short turnaround. Just three days ago, Tech lost a heart-breaking home game to Texas A&M by two.

The pick: Baylor at BetUs Sportsbook
