Speaking to "friends, associates and colleagues" at the TPC Sawgrass clubhouse, Tiger Woods emerged from rehab a broken man. Well, at least, that's what it seemed like as he gave his press conference on PGA.com. In his first public appearance in nearly three months, Tiger apologized for his behavior and also discussed his PGA plans for the future. Tiger spoke for about fourteen minutes, and hugged his mother when he finished his speech. Here are the highlights from his speech, where he was very pointed in saying that Elin Nordegren never hurt him on that fateful Thanksgiving night. Woods also said he did not know when he'd return to the game of golf and took shots at the media, while begging them to leave his family alone.

"Many of you have cheered for me or worked with me or you supported me. Now every one of you has good reason to be critical of me. I want to say to each one of you directly. I am deeply sorry for my selfish behavior I engaged in… People want to know how I couldh have done these things to my wife Elin and children."

"My real apology to her [Elin] will not come in the form of words. It will come in the form of my behavior in the futre… I have let you down. I have let down my fans. For many of you, especially my friends, my behavior has let you down."

"But still, I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you. I have made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did. For all that I have done, I am so sorry."

"Elin never hit me that night or any other night. There has never been an episode of domestic violence on that night or any other night… Elin deserves praise, not blame."

"I convinced myself that normal rules didn't apply. I felt I was entitled. I was wrong. I was foolish. I don't get to play by different rules."

"My failures have made me look at myself in a way I have never wanted to. It's up to me to start living a life of integrity. Parents used to point to me as a role model for their kids. I owe them a special apology."

"As I move forward, I will continue to seek help. Starting tomorrow, I will leave for more treatment and more therapy… I need to regain my balance and be centered."

"I do plan to return to golf one day, I just don't know when that day will be."

Woods ended his speech with a plea to his fans: "Find room in your heart to one day believe in me again."
