SAN DIEGO (YOUNG +104) Cubs (Maddux)

San Diego is 12-1 their last 13 while the Cubs have lost 12-of-14 and are hearing the boo birds from the Wrigley crowd. Maddux is 0-7 at home the last two years -9.5 against teams that hit .9 or fewer home runs per game. Maddux has a team record of 2-8 at home the last two years -13 units against teams averaging 4.3 or fewer runs per game.

The Pads are +7 units on the road this year. The Cubs are hitting .218 their last seven games. In seven starts this year Chris Young has a nice WHIP of 1.134.  His numbers are even better on the road as the Pads have won all three of his road starts.  His road ERA is 2.29 with a .864 WHIP.

In 8 2/3 IP over his last two, Maddux has been smacked for 12 ER on 19 hits and 2 BB. That would qualify for sure under our bubble burst winning theory.  San Diego is 5-0 in the series this year.

In his last 14 starts to San Diego, Maddux is -6.1 units.
