The dogs are starting to peak and the chalks slide. The three-game losing streak for the Sycamores started at home in a 76-59 loss to the Bradley Braves. It also includes two road losses: a 74-68 loss to Drake and a 74-64 loss to Northern Iowa. The Sycamores are 11-7 overall and 4-4 in the Missouri Valley Conference for sixth place in the conference.
The Purple Aces come into the game riding a two-game winning streak. The wins both came on the road to Southern Illinois and Missouri State.

Evansville is much better than they’ve shown and we’ve seen the improvement already in a big revenge game.  A tough recent schedule contributed to the deceptive mark, but things have turned the corner.

The Aces played six of eight games on the road, losing five straight until Wednesday’s 75-68 win over Southern Illinois. Then Sunday’s 63-56 win over Missouri State gave the Aces the biggest turnaround against an opponent in the same season (59 points) in school and conference history after a 52-point road loss on Jan. 9.

Just the opposite, ISU picked to finish ninth has finally started to show why.
