NCAA Football Betting - Week 4 Picks

Online sports betting fans know that the football season goes by very quickly. After all, time flies when you are having fun. Set aside the NFL betting line for this week as we focus on some picks for the college card this Saturday.

Washington Huskies @ Stanford Cardinal

The Washington Huskies pulled a shocker last week when they were unranked and knocked off the USC Trojans but let's take a closer look at that win. For starters, the Huskies were at home. Secondly, the Trojans were without their starting quarterback, Matt Barkley, and without top running back Joe McKnight. On top of that, the Trojans had no confidence in their passing game with Aaron Corp under center and they committed three turnovers.

Let's give Washington some credit for the win. After all, they were winless last year. But even so, the Huskies should not be in the Top 25 right now and they aren't going to be a Pac 10 contender. They are good and they have come back to life, but they are overrated at this particular time.

After that upset win, there is no way that Stanford is going to take them lightly this week. Stanford is further along in their development and they are very familiar with the role that Washington is in. They will be aware and they won't get upset on their home field.

Sports Picks: Stanford

TCU Horned Frogs @ Clemson Tigers

The TCU Horned Frogs are the last team carrying the Mountain West banner.

It was an ugly week for the conference last week as two of the top teams were pimpslapped by unranked opponents, which has left the Horned Frogs as they only team with a real opportunity at the BCS Championship game.

The Utah Utes, who had the nation's longest winning streak, lost last week in Oregon while the BYU Cougars were manhandled by Florida State at home.

This week, TCU head to Clemson and this is both a winnable and a losable game for them.

TCU is very much capable of winning this game because Clemson is a perennial underachiever and they always struggle in big games. On the other hand, Clemson is good enough to beat TCU and the Horned Frogs should be aware that heading to Death Valley is always tricky.
