Week 4 College Football Tipsheet For Bettors

As the season goes on, key injuries become more frequent. The OffshoreInsiders.com tip sheet breaks down key football handicapping information the bettor must know for this weekend’s games.  As sports bettors know, Dr. Bob, Phil Steele, Sports Reporter, and the Gold Sheet were once the premier tipsheets, but now it’s OffshoreInsiders.com

Arizona State vs. Georgia

After feasting on cupcakes Idaho State and Louisiana Monroe at home, ASU travels to Georgia. It could be a sandwich situation for the Bulldogs. They are fresh off a wild road win at Arkansas 52-41 and host LSU next week.

Not only does UGA have an extra game under their belt, but they’ve played three BCS foes, all significantly tougher opponents than either of the Sun Devils tune-ups.

Marshall vs. Memphis

Albeit against a weaker opponent Tennessee-Martin, the Tigers offense had a huge breakout game last week after being among the worst in the country after two games. It was the first game as starter for sophomore QB Tyler Bass.

Bass completed 22-of-28 for 293 yards and four TDs. He also rushed for 80 yards and another trip to the end zone.

Notre Dame vs. Purdue

Irish QB Jimmy Clausen admits his turf toe could affect his play. They are already without top WR Michael Floyd. He will be replaced by two players trying to resurrect their careers. Duval Kamara set two freshman receiving records two years ago, while Robby Paris was second on the team in receiving yards. Each player has regressed since.

Iowa vs. Penn State

Penn State’s defensive leader LB Sean Lee is questionable-to-probable. Their second best LB Navarro Bowman has been limited in the first three games with a sore right groin. However he is back to 100 percent.

Iowa has allowed just two touchdowns in three games. The have eight starters back from the unit that was fifth in the nation last year in total defense.

TCU vs. Clemson

Clemson star RB C.J. Spiller is questionable with turf toe, though he claims he will be “good to go” Saturday.

South Florida vs. Florida State

USF’s best ever QB Matt Grothe is out for the year. Thus redshirt freshman B.J. Daniels makes his first ever start behind center.

Middle Tennessee State vs. North Texas

MTSU tries to avoid a letdown after a dramatic come-from-behind last-second win over Maryland last week. Improved North Texas is 1-2 straight up, but one loss was in OT, the other to powerhouse Alabama.

Louisville vs. Utah

The Utes must fight a letdown after having their 23-game winning streak snapped at Oregon, which by the way was yet another GodsTips winner. The Cardinals though are also a heart-breaking loss to rival Kentucky.

Washington State vs. USC

Cougars leading rusher James Montgomery is out for the year. WSU is already hurting on the offensive line as their top three guards are also out. The shuffling around means that WSU will start a freshman as well as a former walk-on along the offensive line.

Pittsburgh vs. NC State

The Panthers are 3-0 straight up with each win by 13 or more points and they are 13-4 in their last 17 games.

California vs. Oregon

Golden Bears WR Nyan Boateng is out. He led the team in receptions last year and was third this season. He is also an outstanding downfield blocker.
