Philadelphia is coming off a heartbreaking loss that few will suffer in their careers. I even heard the ESPN Radio guys talking how much better Philly was without Terrell Owens, etc and the next thing I know, they blew a 17-point fourth quarter lead and lose in overtime. Now they travel cross country to play an improving San Francisco team. Some people close to the situation believe Philadelphia running back Brian Westbrook is hurt much worse than the Eagles at letting on.
Philly is minus pass rusher Jevon Kearse on defense. Lito Shepard is also out. So the drastically improved Smith to Bryant, with Gore to keep them honest passing attack of San Francisco won’t have to face Kearse in the pass rush and the Iggle secondary is thinned.
