PROMISES MADE, PROMISES DELIVERED DOES IT AGAIN SWEEPING LAST NIGHT, 4-0 WEDNESDAY
Like we said, Center of the Handicapping Universe has spent three decades coming through when you needed it most. We are 5-1 this week, including Wise Guy plays Eagles Monday, Heat over and Rockets Tuesday. Tonight we have four winners.
Which spread tonight is totally out of whack because one team has played a schedule ranked in the Top 15 in the nation, while the other has played one not even ranked in the top 325 (includes D2, 3 and NAIA!)?
We use a few of our weapons tonight as we have a sharp versus square game and one in which our outlaw line spots a big game in which there is a clear off-line. You get the all of today’s Joe Duffy’s GodsTips $17 at the new home: OffshoreInsiders.com.

VIRGINIA TECH -8.5 Old Dominion
Old Dominion will have several players less than 100 percent. It’s cold and flu season, and the Old Dominion Monarchs have discovered they are not immune. They took flu shots in October to prepare for the grind of a college basketball season. But a virus isn’t the flu. And a virus is spreading. Valdas Vasylius, who scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in ODU’s 70-57 victory over James Madison on Saturday, hopped on the bus to Blacksburg on Tuesday as the Monarchs headed for tonight’s game at Virginia Tech. There were no promises he’d be playing tonight. Vasylius sat out Monday’s practice, fighting a virus similar to the one that sidelined Arnaud Dahi on Saturday.
Senior guard Drew Williamson walked out of Monday’s practice wearing a heavy coat and wool hat. Williamson said the latest player to complain of symptoms was 7-foot-3 junior center Sam Harris. “It looks like it’s hitting the big men first,” Williamson said. “Hopefully it won’t make it to the guards.”
Tech is better than their record shows, losing three games by a combined nine points. That includes a missed dunk by Coleman Collins in the closing seconds of a one-point loss to George Washington. Underachieving Collins got a wakeup call by being benched and we look for the All-American candidate to respond.
