Brown vs. Coakley Betting Line; Syracuse-Notre Dame ESPN Spread Pick

Shea Matthews of the newest sports service ScoresOddsPicks adds a college basketball winner to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday NBA spread picks.

We're past the midway point of January, folks. College basketball games mean something again at this time of year and that makes the games more fun to wager on. Try these plays.

Hear is the added contest between Notre Dame and Syracuse. Bodog has Syracuse laying three-points on the road.

Syracuse (17-1) vs Notre Dame (14-4)

Almost every relevant trend points to the Orange in this one. Syracuse is 21-6 in last 27 games against the spread and is very comfortable in Big East action, going 11-2 against the spread. The Orange haven't lost on the road yet this year and the Fighting Irish may party like the Irish on the weekend – why else would they be 1-7-1 ATS in their last nine Monday games?

ScoresOddsPicks.com Pick: Syracuse

Brown vs. Coakley Betting Line

Though surprisingly no sportsbook has posted official odds on the historic Massachusetts Senate race to take over the seat of Ted Kennedy, Grandmaster sports handicapper Joe Duffy is also an adept political handicapper. He says though the polls in the battle between Democrat Martha Coakley and Republican Scott Brown have Brown on top, "I can't see Massachusetts going Republican."

He puts Coakley at -140 with Brown at even money.
