NFL Betting – Colts Want Revenge

While most of the Indianapolis Colts players will tell you that the 2010 Super Bowl odds is the only thing they care about, a lot of them remember what happened back in Week 16 of the regular season.

At that time, the New York Jets were visiting and the Colts had the prospects of a perfect season. They were 14-0 at the time with a shot at becoming just the second team in NFL history to win all 16 regular season games but instead decided to rest their starters in the second half of the contest, which allowed the Jets to walk to an easy win.

The Jets used that win to qualify for the playoffs and it's that type of buzz luck that makes people think about karma. The Colts had the chance to eliminate the Jets and they didn't. Will karma come back to haunt them? If the Colts win, they made the right move. If they lose, they'll be wondering whether they should have played it differently down the stretch of the regular season.

Why The Jets Can Win

The Jets have the top-ranked running game in the NFL and the top-ranked defense. That counts for something – especially when you are playing on the road in the NFL playoffs.

The Jets ran all over the Cincinnati Bengals in the opening ran and then ran over the San Diego Chargers in the divisional round. For a third straight week, they'll be a road underdog and they'll have to ride their running game to achieve the same result.

The good news is that they are on a roll right now and with the defense playing the way it is, they are stifling opponents and scoring just enough points to get the win.

As long as rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez isn't asked to win the game, the Jets will hang around and be within striking distance of a win.

Why The Colts Can Win

The Colts are the best team in the NFL. So far this season, they have yet to lose to a team when they have played their starters. Beyond that, they are also at home and are still feeling the freshness of their bye from a couple of weeks ago.

With Peyton Manning at the helm, the Colts have a huge at the quarterback position and as long as they don't make many mistakes, they will win.

Since the Jets offense is so predictable, the only thing the Colts will have to do on defense this weekend is stop the run. If they do, they'll win big.

What Will Happen

The Jets will be far too predictable and they'll be a little tired on top of it. This will be their third straight road game and eventually, playing on the road with a rookie quarterback will catches up you.

This will be the week as the Colts get ahead and keep the Jets at arm's length the entire way
