It's a big sports betting Monday, so no need to simply start focusing on Final 4 odds, though Michigan State vs. Butler certainly has top sports handicappers salivating.

Denver Nuggets at Dallas Mavericks (-5.5) – Monday at 8:30 p.m. ET
Dallas (48-25, 29-42-2 ATS) has won two of its last three outings, including a 111-90 win at Golden State. The Mavericks haven't played especially well over the past few weeks, though, after winning just three of their last seven games. Dallas has essentially been a disaster at the sportsbook during that span; the Mavs are 1-6-1 in their last eight games on NBA odds, and the Golden State game was the first time they covered since March 8. The Mavericks are a pitiful 1-7-2 ATS in their last 10 games in Dallas.
Denver (48-26, 31-37-6 ATS) is also playing poorly. After Sunday's 103-97 loss to the Magic, the Nuggets have just one victory in their last five outings (four of those games took place on the road). Like Dallas, Denver has struggled to get the job done for sports betting fans. The Nuggets have failed to cover once in eight consecutive games, though they managed to get a push against Orlando. Playing in Dallas will be tough since Denver owns a 0-4-1 ATS record in its last five games away from home.
Both teams are playing lousy, but Denver has generally dominated this series (8-2 SU, 7-2-1 ATS in past 10 meetings). This is the perfect time for the Nuggets to get back on track.
Pick: Denver
Now to Matt Rivers, who was the winningest handicapper ever—nobody came close—on a large network of sites.
San Antonio Spurs (-8) at New Jersey Nets – Monday at 7:35 ET
Rivers sports betting pick says take Nets plus the number. They are getting eight points at home to San Antonio.
Sure I'll back the Nets in this spot as the solid home dog.
I certainly don't think New Jersey is exactly good but I also don't think they are as dreadful as that pathetic record indicates. Brook Lopez and Devin Harris are studs and Kiki Vandeweghe's team did just win two in a row at home before running out of gas in Chicago on Saturday night on that back-to-back and third game in four days.
Tonight though the shoe is on the other foot as the Nets host a San Antonio squad that just played a tough game in Boston last night and is traveling to the swamps to play a second straight day. It's also fairly easy for the Spurs to take a collective deep breath and say oh we're only playing the 9 win Nets today and have a bit of a letdown after that grudge match in Beantown last night with the Celtics.
Tony Parker is still out injured and Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili are no longer young and spry and could be a step slow today in this situation.
New Jersey still needs one more victory in order to avoid tying that 76er team for the most losses in a season with 73 so the home boys should still feel motivated to not be honored with that dubious distinction.
The Spurs need every victory to assure themselves of a playoff spot with the way things are out west and probably are too good to not win this game. But San Antonio is not in a good spot to just lace em up and smack New Jersey here as the dreaded road chalk.
I fully expect Harris and Lopez along with Lee and Humphries and Yi and a few others to look alright tonight and be in this thing until the end. Who knows? Maybe even this fresher home dog will bark in the end and grab that elusive 10th victory.
