Early Fallout of Urban Meyer Stepping Down: Sugar Bowl Line Drops

Shockingly since the announcement that Urban Meyer is leaving Florida, the NCAA football spread has dropped from the Gators being 13-point favorites to just 12. Though the line move is not significant as of yet, it is a shock to Grandmaster sports handicapper Joe Duffy of GodsTips.

“We can disregard any thought of Florida playing in a consolation game as some believe Alabama was last year,” said Duffy. “I thought if anything the public would bet Florida to rally around Meyer.”

Agreed Stevie Vincent, “the line will go up. If you want to bet the Gators, get down at the sportsbooks now. If you plan on wagering on Cincinnati, wait.”

It could be a good middle opportunity adds Duffy.

Who will succeed Meyer? Bob Stoops, Tony Dungy, Mike Stoops, and Bobby Petrino are the early candidates. Bob Warner of Lines-Maker.com said he wants to be the first to add Steve Spurrier’s name to the mix.

BetUs Sportsbook is likely to be the first to release official odds on Meyer’s successor.
