NFL Betting – Week 17 Picks

New York Giants @ Minnesota Vikings

Bookmaker Odds (Bookmaker Sportsbook Reviews): Vikings -9.5

The New York Giants have been one of the biggest disappointments down the stretch of the NFL season. It might not be long until the Minnesota Vikings are filed under that category as well.

The Giants started the season 5-0 but now find themselves at 8-7. They have won just three of their last 10 games and are coming off an embarrassing 41-9 home loss to the Carolina Panthers. It also happened to be the last home game for New York at Giants Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Minnesota Vikings have been making a mess of things lately themselves. They have lost three of their last four games and are showing some fractures in the team chemistry that appeared to be so strong just a month ago.

The Vikings last two losses have been particularly embarrassing with road losses in Carolina and Chicago.

The Vikings need to win this game, though, because their last two losses have opened the door for the Philadelphia Eagles or Dallas Cowboys to potentially steal the No. 2 seed. The Vikings have slid to No. 3 in the NFC and if the Eagles win their game or if the Cowboys win and the Vikings lose, the Vikings would no longer have home field advantage and a bye week.

This has been an unprecedented drop for the Vikings and they better hope the Eagles can lose or they'll be in a much tougher spot heading into the playoffs.

NFL Picks: Vikings -9.5

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys

NFL Betting Lines: Cowboys -3

The Eagles have climbed all the way to the No. 2 seed in the NFC, which is a huge accomplishment for them considering they started the year 3-2 and had an embarrassing road loss in Oakland.

Since then, the Eagles are 8-2 and have been one of the most explosive teams in football. They'll be in tough on Sunday as the Eagles will be facing a Dallas Cowboys squad that wants revenge for a bad Week 17 loss in 2008.

The Cowboys have been hot of late too and they have the type of defense to slow the Eagles. Philadelphia is still very much a pass-oriented team without much balance on the ground. That will be their big downfall on Sunday as they give up their No. 2 seed and the NFC East to the Dallas Cowboys.

Sports Betting Systems Pick: Cowboys -3
