Festivus For Sports Bettors

Are you having a festivus airing of grievances against inferior handicappers? Matt Rivers will restore your faith like the power in Penn Station.  He will make the sportsbooks cry for mercy like balloon boy pop Richard Heene.

The latest sports headlines including Troy Glaus signing a one-year contract with the Atlanta Braves.

Sensational basketball handicapper Matt Rivers is going with Arizona minus the points vs. NC State. They are laying five points at BetUs Sportsbook

This is certainly not the best Arizona team ever as the Wildcats are frankly not very good. In fact the entire Pac-10 is garbage this season as even UCLA is a joke right now. But with that said NC State is extremely average themselves and traveling to the desert is going to be a bit much.

The Wolfpack are 8-2 after that last loss at Wake Forest but really have played a bunch of patsies including only beating Elon last week by three as the 20 or so point chalk. Sidney Lowe's team has pretty much underachieved ever since he took over the reigns and besides the win at Marquette, which was very solid, there is nothing else for State to hang their hats on this season.

Arizona just narrowly beat Lipscomb on a controversial three at the buzzer, which certainly doesn't bode well for us, and all in all the Wildcats are a team that very easily may not make the Big Dance this season as there is Nic Wise and not much else. But we see it so often in college athletics how teams that travel like this are ill equipped to compete and I can see a mediocre State team sort of wet the bed here.

Sean Miller proved at Xavier that he is a solid coach and after that pedestrian win the other day and the bad loss at San Diego State previous to that I think Miller will have his team's attention and after some tough practices start to get things cooking.

This may be more of a gut feeling type of a comp play for me because Arizona has shown next to nothing all season long and 5-5 is definitely gross. But NC State is far from intimidating and this travel should set them up for failure.
