Villanova (23-5, 17-10 ATS) has hit a bumpy patch. Saturday's 95-77 loss in Syracuse was the team's third defeat in four games, and four of the Wildcats' five losses this season have come in the past seven games. Not surprisingly, Villanova has struggled against the spread, too, going 2-6 ATS in its last eight games. Taking to the road won't make matters any easier, as the Wildcats have covered just three times in their last eight games away from home. Vandy is averaging 83.6 points per game on the season but has managed just 72.7 points per night in its last four outings.
Cincinnati (16-12, 7-16 ATS) is mired in a brutal slump; Saturday's 74-68 loss to West Virginia brings the team's record to 2-5 in its last seven games. Although Cincy covered against the Mountaineers, it's a pathetic 3-7 against the spread in its last 10 games. It gets worse—in the Bearcats' last nine games that featured college basketball odds at the sportsbook, they've gone 0-9. Cincinnati has covered just three times in its last 15 home games against the spread.
Villanova has controlled the series straight up, going 3-1 in the past four games, but Cincinnati has forced a 2-2 split against the spread. It's hard to imagine the Bearcats doing it this season, though, as they've been completely useless at home.
