NCAA March Madness Free Picks: Providence-Pittsburgh Sports Service Bet

Yes Matt Rivers has his free pick up for today, but the remarkable ScoresOddsPicks has made professional betting selections available at a price affordable for all bettors. Here is an actual premium sports pick from them.

Providence Friars at No. 18 Pittsburgh Panthers – 9:00 p.m. ET

Pittsburgh (22-7, 15-9-2 ATS) is playing pretty nice basketball right now, winning six of its last seven games. The Panthers toppled St. John's 71-64 on Saturday. Pittsburgh has been just as effective on college basketball odds; in the past six games it played with odds on the line, Pittsburgh covered five of them. Pittsburgh has also covered four straight games at home.

Providence (12-16, 9-14-1 ATS) is looking to end a brutal losing streak. Saturday's 99-93 loss to South Florida was the team's eight consecutive defeat. Of course, the Friars have been almost as bad on sportsbook odds. They've gone just 3-6-1 in their past 10 games against the spread. Oddly, Providence has been much better on the road, where it's racked up a 6-3-1 record in its past 10 road games against the spread.

Pittsburgh and Providence have yet to play this season, thought the Friars won 81-73 when they met last year. It snapped an eight-game winning streak for Pittsburgh, which has a slight 5-4 edge ATS in their past nine meetings. Providence will give them a tough enough run to cover.

Pick: Providence +11 at Bodog
