Today's college football preview kicks off with a look at the 2010 Florida Atlantic squad. Florida Atlantic finished third in the Sun Belt last season (5-7, 5-3) but, with only four home games in 2010, improving on that result will be tough.
Senior quarterback Jeff Van Camp got some solid playing time last year and could be ready for a step to the next level; he threw 12 touchdowns to just two interceptions in about five games worth of action. Van Camp is surrounded by lots of solid talent on offense, notably receivers Lester Jean and Avery Holley. He can also lean on Alfred Morris, who rushed for 1,392 yards last season.
The offensive line, however, has been decimated by graduation—all five starters are gone. The defense is also full of holes despite a few key players returning. The pass rush, which managed just 12 sacks last year, must improve.

Grandmaster Sports Handicapper Joe Duffy's expert take: Florida Atlantic is destined for a fourth place finish in the Sun Belt. If they settle quickly at QB, they may edge out Arkansas State into third place, but they have no chance to finish any higher.
