MTSU College Football Predictions: Troy Gets Edged Out for Sun Belt Title

The with experience of Daniel Schorr, the poise of Luke Russert, gamblers overcome the Aral Sea of worthless betting touts with another accurate preview from Bodog

It's the best MTSU men's team since Mr. Jennings NCAA Tournament days.

Next up in today's college football preview is the 2010 Middle Tennessee squad. The Blue Raiders should give Troy a run for its money in the Sun Belt this year.

Middle Tennessee won 10 games last year but fell just short of catching Troy. Quarterback Dwight Dasher warrants keeping an eye on. He threw for over 2700 yards and rushed for over 1100 last year, though he's had attitude problems in the past. He'll also have a new offensive coordinator this year, his third in as many seasons. Dasher will be protected by four returning starters on the offensive line, though his receiving corps is young and inexperienced.

The defense is led by end Jamari Lattimore, who notched 5.5 sacks last season and is poised for a big year. The secondary is quite strong, including safeties Jeremy Kellem and Kevin Brown, plus standout corner Rod Isaac.

Grandmaster Sports Handicapper Joe Duffy's expert take: Barring a miracle, Middle Tennessee and Troy will battle for the top spot. Nobody else has a realistic chance at the top two. Mr. Jennings will be proud to see his MTSU squad finish on top.
