College Football Spread Picks: Louisiana Tech Preview

Perhaps 4chan is family oriented, but Bodog college football previews continue to be information oriented.

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs are next in line for our 2010 college football outlook. Louisiana Tech is trying to rebound from a 4-8 (3-5) season.

First-year head coach Sonny Dykes is bringing a new philosophy to town, which will see the Bulldogs shift from a run-oriented team to a pass-happy squad. The biggest problem? Who the heck is going to throw the ball? There's a handful of incumbents on the roster, but none seem capable of running the offense Dykes envisions. It could be a wasted year for a solid group of wide receivers.

The "D" leaves much to be desired. Run stopping needs to become a priority, and the coaching staff knows it; they benched linebacker Adrien Cole during spring drills despite him being the team's leading returning tackler. That should send the message pretty quickly.

Grandmaster Sports Handicapper Joe Duffy's expert take: LA Tech is solidly ensconced as the fourth best team. The coaching change brings some uncertainty, but while they are not as good as the top three, they are much more talented than the cluster below them.
