The best college football picks on a game-by-game basis are forthcoming, but now preseason previews much better than Phil Steele will ever produce.
Wrapping up today's college football preview is a look at the 2010 Bowling Green Falcons. Bowling Green went 7-6 last season but has some rebuilding ahead.
Tyler Sheehan has been the face of this team for three years; the quarterback threw for over 10,000 yards and 70 touchdowns for Bowling Green, and now he's gone. Five players are competing to take over the job, and they have big shoes to fill. The running game will have to come up big, but the Falcons have the bodies to do it. Willie Geter (705 yards in 2009) and John Pettigrew should lead a competent ground attack.
The defense, on the other hand, is a work in progress. Seven starters have moved on and the unit wasn't especially strong to begin with (10th in the MAC in yards allowed last season at nearly 400 per game). Bowling Green was absolutely gouged on the ground.
