It may not have been quite as easy as our Game of the Year winners in college and the NBA, but the ESPN Game of the Year on Michigan State was not close at the end last night. ILLINOIS -8 Michigan
So often teams rally around adversity short term and the Illinois’ well publicized auto accident is a rallying cry. Also talk about revenge and the right circumstances. Michigan has beat the Illini in their last two meetings, but U-M hasn’t won at Illinois since Jan. 17, 1995.
It’s the final home game for Illinois and the crowd will be extra vociferous because the controversial decision to eliminate the politically incorrect Indian mascot. All the pressure is on Michigan in this one.
