Am I probably going to lose this game as the Yankees should be too good? Sure I guess. CC Sabathia is a beast and without a doubt much more than likely will get some revenge for his boys falling in the first few games of this series.
Ryan Rowland Smith is in the midst of a poor season as the 1-7 record and ERA over 6 would attest to. But stranger things have happened and the Yankees are not playing like the Yankees right now. I'm not saying New York can't flip a switch and win this game 8-1 as Cano, Arod, Tex, Jeter and the Bronx Bombers are still awesome but at this $3 price I can't help but take my chances on what appears to be an improving Seattle club.
The Mariners are going nowhere and are not very talented but there is always Ichiro and after winning the first few in this series in the Bronx I don't see any intimidation factor today.
It's asking a ton as lightning probably won't strike three times and I admit the visitors are well behind the eight ball in this thing. But Rowland-Smith, even with the awful season, has had past success in the bigs and two starts ago looked really good. Therefore to make a small play against the suddenly slumping Yankees is worth it at this gargantuan takeback.
I don't really expect to win but it's not out of the realm.
