Fortson returned and looked very good scoring 19 points and dishing out 7 assists. He also opened up the floor for Rotnei Clark who was able to bomb away from three and pour in 24 points. This duo is almost as good as any in the nation and I truly believe that we are going to see an immense improvement in these Hogs from then until the end of the year.
In the last game on Wednesday, the 82-80 loss in Starkville, Fortson netted 20 points and pulled down 6 rebounds and added 5 assists. This kid is no joke and with him back in the lineup makes the Hogs become decent enough.
Alabama meanwhile is pretty much garbage. The Crimson Tide throughout the years was always at least very tough at home and would stink on the road. In the last few seasons though they are not even much in Alabama anymore and when they travel are soft and shrivel up as usual. Anthony Grant is a better coach than Mark Gottfried but that really is not saying much as the jury is still out on Grant in my mind.
The bottom line is that Arkansas is becoming a much better team unlike Alabama who is just not very good and in a tough spot on the road which rarely turns out good for them.
