Free MLB Winner

Super sports handicapper Matt Rivers says go with the Red Sox in Kansas City. They are laying -117 with Josh Beckett.

I am a huge Zach Greinke fan and believe that the righty could be every bit as good this season as last but it's not like Josh Beckett is Chopped Liver and the Red Sox are far superior to the Royals in pretty much every single aspect of the game.

The Royals are at home but, as usual, are not really a very good team according to sharp bettors reports.  We all know about how KC is a small market club and has no shot to really contend in a long season but we have seen these guys show glimpses with young talent like Beltran, Damon, Febles, Sweeney and some others in years' past. Right now though the cupboard is farily bare relatively speaking and besides Billy Butler right now is not a club with a great upside.

Boston also does not have the same lineup they have enjoyed as Manny and Bay are gone and Big Papi is a shell of himself but Youkilis, Pedroia and Victor Martinez are still much better than what their opponent has today and in what should be a well pitched and low scoring game I can't help but believe that Beckett and the BoSox are going to be able to prevail after 9 innings.

Jonathan Papelbon can be a little scary and this thing should be tight and come down to the bullpens but if that happens then so be it as a blown late lead means you are pretty much on the right side and lady luck failed to smile on you in the end.

This price just seems a little too cheap to me on the visitors and I'll therefore make a small play on the boys from Beantown.
